camping trip #1

Here are some pictures of our first camping trip of the summer, now that we have a trailer we are planning on doing more camping. Tenting does not work well with little kids....and prissy wives haha. This was the last day of our trip. everything is packed up just Dahlia sitting on the picnic table with her blanket that goes everywhere with her.

My perfectly toasted marshmellow. nothing makes me happier than having a marshmellow that is perfectly browned NOT charred. and all melted in the middle yummmo! too bad I left the bag of marshmellows outside on the picnic table and some critters found them they were gone in the morning. I was sad.

Mr. happy camper. I asked Nathan to smile...so he gave me his best forced smile..haha he just wanted to play not stop and smile for a picture.

Dahlia found a bug...some sort of inch worm, she was pretty facinated by it.

The kids first tast of smores. lookes like they liked them.

Dahlia's photography skills...not bad i must say, its nice to beable to get into a picture or two. Im usually the picture taker.

Dans lost weiners... he was very sad. I dont buy hot dogs ever but for camping we go all out and have white bread and hot dogs and all sorts of junk food. so to loose two precious weiners was very upsetting to him.

The cook. Dan cooked the food on our trip.

The beach. it rained in the morning but the kids didnt seem to notice. they had fun playing in the water and throwing rocks.

The boys, Nathan was pretty excited to be able to play outside all day. he was off exploring every chance he could get. often Dan or myself would have to go and bring him back to our site.

Miss Dahlia loved the trailer, she spent lots of time just playing in there. and was very good about the no shoes in the trailer rule.

We all had a good time, and are planning another trip in July. and then another in august. we will see how they go.
