Having Fun at Home

The weather has been kinda gross lately and we havent gotten out much. the kids tend to get a bit restless when they are stuck inside all day. Dahlia is starting to use that creative imagination of hers now though. she likes to build towers with cans and things she finds in the pantry. and she likes to draw picures... lately when ever I ask her what it is that she is drawing she tells me " its worms" .. " look at my green worms mommy!" hmm nice.
she drew a fat one today... i asked her if it was a caterpillar.."no its a worm!" okay, i guess that one ate a lot of uh dirt?

Dahlia loves her little brother, she says he is her "special baby brother" and she hugs him every chance she gets, I have to remind her every once in a while not to squish him though. Dahlia knows how to get him laughing and he always smiles when he see's her. I hope there relationship stays like that.
Today we decided to get outside for awhile, Dahlia wanted to play with "her snow" she enjoyed it much more this time because it wasnt so deep and she didn't fall down so much. Nate enjoyed it too...for a while.
This is our snow family as you can see we have a mommy a daddy a dahlia and a nathan, we used moss for hair pebbles for eyes and little baby carrots for noses. Dahlia enjoyed picking them up and putting them in her wagon and she would drag them around the yard until they broke and then I would have to fix them for her. It was fun.

Nathan has had enough of this cold wet stuff he was curious and tried to pick it up but at this point he didnt want to be sitting in the snow with his little nate snow man.

there's nothing like finding creative things to do on gross days (which we seem to have plenty of lately) dahlia sure likes those worms- i used to be like that...i'd collect worms and snails and make a pail into a home for them with grass and stuff...oh the fun!
